Creators! Feel free to tip me off about your keyboard related projects to bring them to 140K readers.
The Anywhy Flake was already featured last December. However, creator Maksym Bohdan aka Max/axseem officially released version 1.0, and added the new 58-key Flake L to the model selection – for those who "aren't ready to jump down the rabbit hole yet or just prefer more keys".
Hi everyone, after a long silence I'm excited to introduce you Flake v1.0 […] It has a lot of changes, and one of the biggest is the new L size with 58 keys – Max.
Changes
Increased maximum battery capacity from 150mah to 200mah (over a month of battery life when used for 6 hours a day)
Improved the position of the reset switch
Simplified hand soldering
Completely redesigned PCB, fixing most issues
Various enclosure improvements
ZMK Studio support
Specs
Three size options: S/M/L -> 40/46/58 keys (5 or 6 columns, optional number row)
MX and Choc support
hotswap
Pro Micro footprint
wireless support
The S/M variants share the same PCB with snap-off outer column. The L size is another PCB.
As before, the Flake supports both MX and Choc switches simultaneously. The two different hotswap sockets per key allow you to use any Cherry MX and low-profile Kailh Choc switches.
The keyboard is flat and only 0.8mm high (body without switches) while using regular Pro Micro compatible controllers. For wired connectivity, it uses USB-C instead of 3.5 Jack.
