Welcome back for another edition of Keyboard Builders' Digest (this time Issue #88), a weekly roundup of this DIY keyboard focused newsletter and blog from Tamas Dovenyi – that's me. If you are new to this, you can read how this started out and what this is all about nowadays. If you like what you see, you can subscribe to the newsletter (free) and donate some bucks to keep this otherwise free and ad-free project alive.

1st Twitter anniversary?
Twitter told me it's my first anniversary on the platform.
Indeed, I'm not really into social media and Twitter isn't a big thing in my country, nor in the neighboring ones as I was informed.
Regardless, it seems I launched the @KbdNews channel exactly one year ago – mostly to follow some creators and projects.
Somehow, my follower base is dominated by Japanese enthusiasts there which provides a good opportunity to being exposed to proceedings of different communities.
If you are on Twitter, check out the channel and feel free to follow.
Dumped photodump
I made a lot of close-ups of the CFX caps and after a few hours while browsing the photos I realized that my camera lens was dirty. At least that's what I thought.
Cleaned my lens and redone the shots next day and the dark spots scattered all over the photos remained. The mirror and the inner parts I can easily access after removing the lens seem to be clean. Hmm.
Somehow, the dirt got into deep inside of my good old Nikon D7000 – Which is a real mystery because I haven't changed lenses for years I'd guess. (I regularly shot sports events but haven't done it since ages.)
And to say the truth, I'm not too comfortable with messing around inside of a DSLR…
The photos are still acceptable but are really annoying with white background.
Anyway, I'll probably change the Buy me a dragon! title of the donation page to '''Buy me a Nikon D7500!

A meetup in Las Vegas and the NovelKeys event added – thanks Tiny!
However, by the time you're reading this, the Las Vegas one is already over. Please try to spread the news of the meetup database and get back to me with more events, possibly in advance! ;)
Giveaway
Hey, the next KBD.NEWS aluminum novelty cap (courtesy of metalkeyboards.no) goes to Malaysia. The winner of the behind-schedule raffle is NiceDON. Congrats! I'll contact you after sending out the newsletter.
There's only one keycap left!
The new r/mk automoderator doesn't let me post my usual stuff so you can play on Twitter this time:

That's all for today. Thanks for reading.
Feel free to comment in this issue's r/mk thread, and as always: keep learning and building.
Cheers, Tamás
