Fiðrildi means butterfly in Icelandic, and looking at the shape of Steve Joiner's (aka ButteredBread5255) monoblock split, this is not a coincidence.

The keyboard is designed specifically for the 0xcb Helios devboard by the keeb.supply guys Jakob and Conor. The Helios is soldered in to minimize the profile so that it can be sandwiched between the top plate and bottom PCB.

Inspired by the Reviung and Corne, it has a slightly more exaggerated column stagger than the Corne, and increased slant angle (by 8 degrees) compared to the Reviung.

Specs

  • 5x3+2 split layout
  • MX, hotswap
  • 0xCB Helios controller
  • 40x reverse mounted LEDs shining upwards, illuminating the acrylic middle layer
