Creators! Feel free to tip me off about your keyboard related projects to bring them to 140K readers.
The IK keyboard is a low-profile split designed and shared by Ian MacLarty (aka ianmacl). The layout is similar to the ZSA Voyager, but with the outer top key moved to a third thumb position.
The 52-key board is column staggered, sports a Waveshare RP2040 Zero MCU running QMK, and uses Gateron KS-33 switches.
The keyboard is about 16 mm high from the table to the top of the keycaps:
In order to make the keyboard as low profile as possible I clipped the switch pins before soldering and the bottom switch housings protrude through the case. The total height with keycaps is about 16mm – Ian.
A set of printable low-profile thumb keycaps is also included in this repo.
