The project is still WIP, but there's a repo for the Iyada now. Already mentioned in previous issues, Gareth Gummow aka gargum/Outrageous-Half has been working on this split with a plethora of features for some time now:

Currently working on a split keyboard called the Iyada. The idea is that it's a split keyboard with two Cirque trackpads on each thumb cluster that can serve as a mouse, a 3D mouse for CAD, and as dual analogue sticks in video games – Outrageous-Half.

Specs

  • 50 keys
  • Choc/MX, hotswap option for both
  • RP2040
  • dual Cirque trackpad
  • roller and rotary encoders
  • joystick
  • display
  • RGB lighting
  • haptic feedback (DRV2605L)
  • audio feedback (piezo speaker)
  • QMK

Power boosting: The Iyada is equipped with a TP4056 and a lithium polymer battery on each side. This allows one to provide extra power, thereby ensuring features like RGB and Haptics are always working as expected, no matter the configuration.
