jacksonh22 posted this photo without any details but fnordulicious identified the protagonist as a Leeds & Northrup Max1 terminal.

Apparently a Leeds & Northrup Max1 terminal. Seems to be part of a control system for things like power plants. It was apparently hooked up to DEC VAXen – fnordulicious.
