The MMOAbom56 by ujl123 is a keyboard mainly for gaming, with more keys on the left side for in-game chat.

I used Ergogen and this incredible guide and built the entire design in under a week. I then procrastinated on the firmware for a month before having it working a few days ago – UJL123.

According to the author, for MMO games there's a lot of in-game chat, which requires the left half to be more feature rich. Much less keys are required on the right, so no need for 6 rows there, and ujl123 was running out of pins anyway.

The case is 3d printed using the footprint of the PCB and a little bit more on the margins, some walls extruded around it.

Specs

  • 56 keys, offset ortho
  • low-pro Choc, hotswap
  • Pro Micro footprint
  • QMK
