Protieusz shared his NewType-36, a nowt36 variant with an integrated 25mm trackball, per-key RGB, powered by a Waveshare RP2040 Zero.

I have upgraded the nowt36 with the permission from tamago324 to add a 25mm trackball in the middle area and upgrade the mcu from Pro Micro to Waveshare RP2040 Zero and 36 individual RGBs – Protieusz.

The nowt36, this monoblock split, was originally designed by tamago324 who gave his blessing to Protieusz for the modifications.

Specs

  • 36 keys unibody split (3x5+3)
  • MX, soldered
  • trackball (PMW3360)
  • Waveshare RP2040 Zero
  • case
