Fellow redditor ELr3ddit applied a silicone coating to an exposed nice!nano development board to make it waterproof.

"Quick experiment with silicone non-conformal coating – waterproof, nonconductive, durable up to 390 deg F. You can re-work / re-solder after it sets, and it's thin enough it isn't much of an insulator."

An added bonus: the coating rounds off sharp edges that would usually snag going in / out of laptop bags.

This silicone modified conformal can seep into the tiniest spaces. The author used a toothpick to apply individual drops on the pins and then tilted the board and seeped drops into the small gaps between the nano and the adapter and the adapter and the top plate. The silicone is now sealing the pins on top and the pins underneath the nano and the adapter.
