This came to mind when I was trying out some Gateron Melodics for the first time. I was curious about the force curve because I knew something about these switches felt familiar, and when I looked it up I was right, they're extremely close in feel to Alps SKCM Orange. This made me wonder, why has nobody (or Gateron themselves) created a tactile switch using a tactile leaf rather than a click leaf to make an MX tactile – Lanes (designer). It keeps the clear click feeling but softens the sharpness, giving a smooth and comfortable sound while typing – Deltakeyco/Swagkeys. Gateron Lanes are a reimagined tactile switch that use a custom designed housing to utilize a click leaf mechanism without producing a loud click noise. The tactility feeling is different than most "standard" MX tactile switches as the leaf produces the feeling instead of the legs of the stem. They are often compared to something like an Alps orange switch – Pantheon/Bowlkeyboards. | Voyager is a brand-new tactile switch designed by Chosfox and made by JWK. This new switch features "Advanced Tactile". One-of-a-kind Hyper Tactile Switch without the spring and leaf noise – Chosfox. |
