Comments on HMX Yogurt V1 53g switches | Comments on KTT Strawberry V2 switches |
XLLAB designed the HMX Yogurt switch, which HMX manufactures using its newest stem and bottom housing mold. The P5 bottom housing Yogurt switches use a modified nylon with 40-45% fiberglass added. It is a new nylon blend from HMX and by far the material with the most fiberglass added. What it does to the switches is make them sound super loud, clacky, and full-sounding. With the help of the new stem and bottom housing mold, Yogurt switches come with smooth keystrokes and minimum stem wobble – Unikeys. | What's new with V2? The biggest change in V2 has been the reduction in the number of runners in the injection molding process. Previously in V1 there were 24 runners. In V2 there are now only 16 runners. For those unfamiliar with injection molding, a runner is a channel cut into the mold that allows for the plastic to flow from the nozzle into each cavity. Decreasing the number of runners and cavities allows for better control and consistency resulting in better tolerances and smoothness. Additionally, new molds are generally smoother than older molds due to pristine internal surfaces – dangkeebs. Recommended for deep sounding, thocky builds – beaverkeys. Strawberry V2's are a sweet premium linear inspired by bright berries. They're composed of a clear top housing, transperant pink bottom housing, and pink POM stem allowing for improved RGB transmittance. Additionally, the switches are lightly pre-lubed with an improved factory lubing technique to ensure they're ready to go as soon as they arrive! – dangkeebs. |
