Comments on Typeplus Peacock switches

In theory, the Y3X switch is not an upgrade to the Y3 switch. Y3X and Y3 cover different sound and typing spectra. Compared to the classic Y3 switch, Y3X is slightly louder and poppier. Thanks to the spherical stem tip and spherical bottom housing contact point (Same as Keygeek Butterfly Switch), Y3X has a mellower and softer bottom-out feel than Y3 – Unikeys.

Typeplus Peacock switches are linear switches from Typeplus, a new switch manufacturer focused on meticulous quality inspection for every switch component. Featuring a classic Nylon housing blend with a POM stem to showcase their attention to detail, from tighter tolerances, reduced stem wobble, and a consistent keypress. Typeplus uses a "combinational manufacturing" approach by utilizing specialized manufacturers for individual components before final assembly and quality check at the Typeplus facility. By optimizing each part separately, Typeplus is able to utilize the best components from different factories to create their ideal switch – Divinikey.
