Comments on MMD Holy Panda V3 switches

The Gateron Type R tactile switch might be the craziest tactile switch you have ever seen. Sillyworks' goal was to create a tactile switch that doesn't come with any linear travel: A 100% pure tactile switch. The Type R has a super short travel distance which is 3mm only. With the help of the elongated stem pole and tactile bump design, the tactility starts at the keypress and ends with the bottom-out. Sound-wise, because the travel is so short and bottom-out comes too quickly, the Type R switches tend to sound clackier than other Gateron tactile switches – Unikeys.

When compared to the Drop Holy Panda switches, the MMD Holy Panda V3 switches are improved in the following aspects: 1. They are factory lubed using 205g0. 2. They have an improved switch pin structure for more precise actuation. 3. MMD adjusted the top housing materials to make them smoother. They come with a snappy tactility and crispy bottom-out which make them a great tactile switch. They are worth a try if you like holy-panda-like switches – Unikeys.
