While the Ergo Clears were a community mod for older MX Clear switches, Cherry now made the mod an official variant by using a different spring and stem for a better tactile experience – candykeys.com.
Cherry MX Ergo Clear tactile switches are the original modification of a Cherry MX Clear that featured a lighter spring. These switches provide a more pronounced tactile bump compared to its Cherry MX Brown counterpart – DiviniKey.
