The goal of this redesign was to emulate as much of the OG Melody principles as possible while also adopting a slightly new look, sound and feel by embracing the parameters of the new manufacturer’s tooling. Ultimately, we landed on a slightly desaturated and shifted colorway that differentiates itself but also captures the same vibe of the original. Additionally, POM was chosen as a material all around because it delivers the interesting full yet muted sound profile, albeit a slightly higher pitched. This also allows Melody Redux to stand out more in a sea of traditional materials used across the gamut of recolors. Lastly, the parameters of BSUNs molds allowed for the creation of a new, fun feel. We retain some of that “linearn’t” feel but add a bit of shimmy on the press with a nice snappy, tactile response on the return. While it is different than the original, it offers that same vibe that the Melody project has always sought to capture; fun – KeebzNCables. | KeysMe is partnering with Gateron to launch the exclusive Weightlessness switches and bring them to the mechanical switch market. Comes with factory pre-lubed, it is designed with eye catching color to perform a new level of smoothness in each keystroke and significantly wobble less than a regular mechanical switch.
