Comments on HMX Yamatake switches | Comments on Haimu x YG Studio Mulberry switches |
The HMX Yamatake is a long-pole tactile switch with a relatively small p-shaped bump. The PC top housing and POM stem ensure a smooth travel, and the PA-2 bottom housing guarantees a thick but clacky overall sound profile – SerpentKeys. | The Mulberry switch is a new tactile made by Haimu and designed by YG Studio (HMX Macchiato, HMX Canglan and Keygeek Keylin) that contains a metal insert in the stem. In true Haimu fashion, this is another solid tactile that has managed to eliminate the unpleasant plasticky sound of past switches. The factory lubing is also on the lighter side with a tiny bit of pleasant scratch while being smooth enough to use stock. Feel: Rounded medium bump that is felt immediately on keypress. Snappy return from the 20mm long spring. Sound: A deep clack from the combination of the deeper sounding LY stem combined with the metal pole insert for some added brightness on bottom out.
