The MZ Z1 delivers a marbly sound profile that’s smooth and satisfying with every keystroke. MZ Studio, known for the popular Keygeek Y2 and Y3 switches, brings their expertise to the Keygeek Z1, creating a switch with a smooth feel and a marbly sound – LumeKeebs. | The Unikeys Udon linear switch is our attempt at trying to create a clacky BSUN switch that is not thin-sounding. The stem material, Y3X, is the same as the Jade Rosales switches; It can be considered an improved LY or Y3 material, and Y3X is slightly softer than LY but much smoother than both LY and Y3. We chose to pair it with a modified PA66 bottom housing to create a full but clacky-sounding bottom out. The PC top housing gives them a clean and sharp top-out sound. Overall, these will be one of the more clacky new BSUN switches in our collection. In order to prevent the lube pooling issues, we chose to only lube the stem sliders and legs with a very thin coat of 205g0. Springs are lubed with dry film – Unikeys. |
