PT Black, a new switch co-developed by TTC and Pantheonkeys, draws its design inspiration from the familiar and beloved Cherry MX Black switch. Our goal is to retain the classic feel while optimizing it to improve some common problems. The first focus is on smoothness and consistency: some Cherry Black switches can have a scratchy feel in their stock form, and there can be slight variations in feel between different batches. The PT Black features further optimization in structural tolerance control, resulting in higher overall smoothness and more stable consistency. The switch achieves a tight, solid feel without applying a film – TTC. | The Gateron Khonsu linear switch features Gateron's best molding, improved factory lubing, and top material selections. To maintain an overall clean, solid, and clacky sound profile, designer Mori chose to make the Khonsu housing with the Sea Salt Smoothie housing mold. Paired with the classic Gateron rail bottom-out stem, the Khonsu switch has a surprisingly crispy and clacky sound. Because the Khonsu switch is rail bottom-out, Mori delivered special instructions to Gateron regarding the factory lube process: Only the leaf, spring, stem legs, the front and the back side of the stem are precisely lubed. This way, there won't be any pooling issues. Please note, the dry version also comes with a bit of lube on the stem legs and leaf to eliminate noises – Unikeys. |
