Comments on Alpaca V2 switches

The KTT Rose is pretty smooth out of the box but you'd likely want to lube this switch to bring down the spring noise – beaverkeys.
The KTT Rose switch will be a great choice for you if you want RGB on your keyboard as it has an opaque top housing. However, based on my personal experience and comments from other enthusiasts in the community, it seems like opaque housings generally make the switch sound thinner – unikeys.

Alpacas are smooth linear switches with gold plated 62g springs (bottom out). Colors are based on the SA Bliss colorway brought to us by Minterly – PrimeKB.
Alpaca switches are an incredibly smooth linear switch manufactured by Durock and with colours based on the SA Bliss colourway by Minterly. Designed by PrimeKB, the Alpaca switch has become the gold standard for a stock switch. Coming slightly factory lubricated, you'll be getting an incredibly smooth typing experience right out of the box – mechboards.co.uk.
