ViTNO’s Writing Contest 2023

There is a writing contest going on over at the Vintage is The New Old blog. Let's come up with something original until June 30th!

I'm fairly sure you can type, right? But is anyone also into retrocomputing here? I've featured a lot of old but cool computer and keyboard models so the answer is hopefully yes.

Which means, you might be a lover of yellowed plastic, exploding capacitors or those eye-burning 3-bit RGB games, thus the perfect target audience for this year's Vintage is The New Old 2023 Writing Contest!

Rules

  • Deadline: June 30th, 2023
  • Length: 1000-3000 words
  • Categories: technical or non-technical
  • Language: English ("we encourage amateur writers and those whose first language is not English to participate")

Prizes

The prizes are quite symbolic as of writing this, but feel free to enter the contest or throw some bucks at Paulo so he can increase the amount and/or value of the prizes.

When you submit your masterpiece, don't forget to indicate you heard about the contest on kbd.news. Heck, you can even refer kbd.news in your entry. I'll keep an eye on your write-ups and if there will be enough applicants, I may come up with a special prize for kbd.news readers.

About one third of my entry is ready so let's meet on the list of winners! ;)
