Let's support Ukraine via kbd.news
Fancy keyboards and colorful switches are a nice pastime in peacetime, but in these dark days, we have to focus on those who fight real battles.

This month I'm supporting Ukraine's freedom fighters by sending all the money I make via kbd.news (1), and doubling the amount from my own savings (2). Click here to donate!
First things first: Wars are bad. Everybody wants peace.
However, as many of you know, I live quite close to the Ukrainian border. So these heroes on the frontline have been protecting my ass too – for three years now.
While it's shocking to watch some politicians throwing Ukraine under the bus, luckily, we can act together and also individually to mitigate the damage and to fix this shitshow.
Therefore, this month I'm sending to Ukraine all the money I make via kbd.news (1), and doubling the amount from my salary (2). Click here to donate!
Where does this donation go to?
This is a very targeted donation to the 68th "Carpathian Dragons" battalion of the Ukrainian Army – via a foundation in contact with them and Ferenc Fegyir Sándor, a professor who became famous for giving lectures from the trenches (now Ukraine's ambassador to Hungary).
These people are dudes from Transcarpathia, Ukraine's farthest region from Russia, yet they are fighting on the frontline, a thousand kilometers from their home. Many of them are ethnic Hungarians.
Dragonfeeders
The support route has been well established and organized for years by Hungarian civilians, the 'Dragonfeeders'. This foundation is very transparent, usually providing daily (!) reports on donations and all the items purchased with the collected funds.
No weapons or explosives, they have a regularly updated wish-list of equipment needed, as requested by the Dragons: vehicles, tires, aggregators, batteries, civilian drones, accessories, clothing, even books.
How much should I donate?
- Anything between $5 to $350 is welcome.
- Please DO NOT donate less than $5-10 because of the fixed fees of PayPal and other providers. Not much is left of a $1-2 donation.
- Please DO NOT donate more than $350 (at once). Only if you'd like to cause me some trouble (extra taxes and administration).
- Feel free to donate directly (scroll down for English, or transfer details below).
While our role may seem minuscule in this conflict, it's important to understand that the total yearly support by the US government (now suspended) could be easily replaced by e.g. every European citizen donating just 30-40 euros for the cause. Yep. I'm more than willing to pay significantly more to keep crazy dictators at bay. (For comparison, the new tariffs are estimated to cost the average American household $1,000 to $1,200 annually.)
Other support options
If you'd like to support these freedom fighters in any other way, feel free to look up alternative options available.
Direct money transfer to the Dragonfeeders:
- Beneficiary's name: Kárpátaljai Sárkányellátó Alapítvány
- Bank name: OTP Bank Nyrt.
- SWIFT/BIC: OTPVHUHBXXX
- IBAN: HU22 11709002-25987157-00000000
- Notice: Please indicate that this is a donation!
Many thanks. Act now.
(1) There may be some people among my regular donors who don't want to support this cause, so recurring donations set up earlier are excluded from this initiation. New donations only.
(2) I'm going to double the amount collected from my own money, up to my monthly salary. (Actually, I've already advanced the sum and supported the foundation last week.)
