Gamma Omega TC36k

A diodeless version of the original, using graph theory this time: Gamma Omega TC36k.

The Gamma Omega TC36k is the diodeless, single-PCB version of the original Gamma Omega – designed and shared by unspecworks and Peter Cock.

While the files of the ULP version are not yet available, here is the Gamma Omega TC36k, using graph theory like e.g. triliu's JESK56 and reJESK:

Specifically, it uses a partial Tutte-Coxeter graph, with only 26/30 nodes/vertices/pins, and 36/45 edges/switches/keys (thus "TC36k"), but still girth 8 for 6-key rollover – unspecworks.

The original Gamma-Omega has a left & right PCB (with the same reversible design), joined at the middle with the controller daughter board itself. The TC36k is an anternative single PCB design, intended to fit the same case.

Larger PCBs are more expensive, but using no diodes means far less parts and soldering, thus quicker and easier assembly.

Specs

  • 36 keys (3x5+3)
  • Choc footprint (hotswap or soldered)
  • Raspberry Pi Pico PR2040 controller
  • custom QMK firmware
