The Ortho 4x10 TKL v0.1 is a cute 30-40% board mimicking the physical layout of a TKL keyboard. Designed by Rob Quinn aka madebyrobq, it features a dedicated arrow cluster and a 3U spacebar.

Specs

  • 36-40 keys, 4x10 ortholinear 'tenkeyless' style layout
  • MX, hotswap
  • on-board Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller
  • USB-C
  • fully factory-assembled PCBA
  • QMK/Vial firmware

The layout options are 3U spacebar or 3x1U keys, and the arrow cluster can be turned into 2x3 1U keys too, however, the provided case covers two of them.

The goals of this project were to learn how to make a working PCBA, to keep hardware features to the minimum (no LEDs, OLED, encoders, etc.), and to make a fun and delightful keyboard, accommodating an iPad Mini (6th gen).
