DELPHI stands for "Dual Ergolinear Low-Profile Human Interface", and this board by John Riggles (aka JRiggles) is a minimal split designed to combine ergonomics and an ortholinear layout into a small form factor.

I first posted about this project a couple years back, and I've finally gotten back around to it. I'm still tweaking the design a bit to accommodate some PCB plates I had made, and I'm also working on a 3D-printable case – JRiggles.

This "ergolinear" layout has an orthoish grid, but is also columnar due to the exactly 1U pinky stagger.

Specs

  • 40-42 keys
  • Low-pro Choc switches
  • Adafruit QT Py RP2040 controllers
  • Thumb cluster supports a 3×1U or a 1×1U + 1×2U layout
  • KMK firmware
