Kindly open-sourced by nearestexit, the MX Unsaver is a custom prototype of a keyboard and accompanying numpad, inspired by vintage Cherry keyboards and the Model F-based IBM "Unsaver". Designed in Onshape and KiCad. Powered by QMK.

The project follows in the footsteps of the author's previous distinctive designs, such as the Actually XT and Alcatel100.

Specs

  • 108+18 keys (ISO or ANSI + numpad)
  • MX switches, soldered
  • top-mount PCB
  • on-board STM32F072CB MCU
  • daughterboard & USB hub
  • CNC aluminum case & brass weight
  • QMK firmware

The PCB supports ISO and ANSI. Unfortunately, due to an oversight, the case only supports ANSI enter at the moment. It could be relatively easily modified to support ISO enter though.
