Capsule Deluxe's pixljar and Cari announced the release of the Manta58/s, an updated case for the Lily58 kit.
Back in November 2021, pixljar shared the first prototype of what would become the Manta58: a unique 3D-printable case for the Lily58 split ergo. In October of the following year, Capsule Deluxe was launched, where the first version of Manta58 was made available for free download. To date, it's been downloaded hundreds of times by folks all over the world.
Nearly two years later, the team unveiled the latest evolution of the Manta58: the Manta58/s.
We’ve been working super diligently for weeks to ensure all the files and components for the standard and Typeractive MX PCB variants were properly tested. And now we’re very excited to share the new case designs for all to enjoy on our website! – pixljar.
What started out as two pieces of cardboard packaging material taped to the bottom of the author's Lily58 kit, has evolved into this latest update of the Manta58 case design, adding a range of improvements, including:
Thicker case walls and chamfered edges
Improved tenting leg design with fewer magnets
Recessed screw holes
Custom plate with options for OLED and screenless builds
Support for original and Typeractive Lily58 PCBs (MX only)
