Creators! Feel free to tip me off about your keyboard related projects to bring them to 100K readers.
Do you have an issue with properly supporting your hand with a tented split keyboard setup?
JellyTitan aka hephaestus_b came up with an adjustable frame to accommodate the popular silicone gel wrist rest.
I really dig the cheap gel heart wrist rests for my split keyboards. I designed these frames to hold em so I can raise/tilt with M6 screws – hephaestus_b.
Starting with a fixed angle split wrist rest for the ergodox-ez, JellyTitan's next approach was cutting down and staining a pine block. With this latest tentable gel rest project he took his setup to the next level.
The author also added magnetic feet to stick the frames to his metal desk.
The models were designed to friction fit some cheap generic magnets from ebay (about 12mm x 3mm). However, the .f3d file has the magnet dimensions as parameters and was added to the Printables repo.
I tried this with cheap wrist rests from aliexpress, and the more expensive ones from amazon. As far as I can tell, they are both the same product. The packaging was the same from both vendors, with the model number “W-25” on the package. (They are sometimes called “Crystal Wrist Pads” or Kidney Wrist rests") – JellyTitan.
