Đức Đào aka 0rvax/itsdmd shared a 36-key low-pro wireless split project derived from the Choc-spaced Corne – featuring 21700 Li-Ion battery cells.

Another semester ended so I had a month off, decided to design my first ergo during the break. I have been daily-driving my Sofle, but they are too chonky (both the dimensions and thickness) for lugging around – 0rvax.

The author's intention was to make the tenting mechanism to also act as the counterweight for the keyboard when placing the device on his laps. The case is designed so that the two halves can be folded together and secured with a velcro strip for traveling.

Features

  • 36 keys (3x5+3)
  • low-pro Choc, hotswap or soldered
  • wireless via nice!nano
  • diodeless
  • reversible PCB
  • case with DC power jack

The case features a 5.5x2.1 DC power jack for connecting to a detachable Li-Ion battery enclosure. The provided enclosure is designed for storing a 21700 battery with a protection PCB attached to it. This enclosure can act as a tenting mechanism, or for locking the two keyboard halves in place when folded for traveling.
