Youngmin Lee aka yuburoll released the modubu, a 38-key semi-staggered split – meaning mixed row and column staggering. As weird as it may look, this makes a lot of sense actually, at least if you're aware of the author's inspiration.

The name "modubu" is tofu square in Korean – Yuburoll.

This keyboard was designed for very local and ethnic layouts, especially for Koreans who have lots of vowels and are struggling with the B position when changing between Korean and English.

Features

  • 38 keys (5x3+3-ish)
  • MX switches, hotswap or soldered
  • RP2040-Zero controller
  • reversible PCB
  • 100x100 mm PCB for cheap manufacturing
  • QMK firmware

Pic:

It's worth a second look how the designer crammed 6 columns (usually 19.50 mm offset) into a 100 mm wide PCB.
