The rails idea only works if your plate extends past your keys/the rest of the keyboard.

If you're a beginner like me, I'd recommend a Japanese hand saw since they're much easier to control! Also, whenever you want to cut something straight or flush, always clamp a piece of straight wood on top and cut flushly along it! – bruh-iunno.
