JB reached out to me with some developments at 1Up Keyboards, among other things the Super 16 V3 macropad:
[…] our Super 16 Macropad is getting a new version. It is currently in preorder but in-stock sales begin on Monday, Sep 25 – JB.
The Super 16 V3 is a 4x4 macropad with support for up to 4 rotary encoders and powered by an RP2040 chip. (The previous version was powered by a 32u2 and only supported up to 2 encoders.)
This is also the first time 1Up Keyboards is offering 3D printed cases alongside their usual layered acrylic cases – both made in-house.

The PCB and cases have been designed by Ziptyze, creator of popular ortho boards like the Zlant, Zlant XL, and the upcoming version of the Let’s Split mechanical keyboard.
You can find files for various PCBs available for non-commercial use on github, including the Super 16 V3 which is also in stock as of yesterday.
(The source files aren't something that JB has announced publicly outside of conversations with members of their discord looking for certain info, so thanks a lot for making it public knowledge through KBDNews!)
