The Dkuni, this Sofle-inspired unibody split keyboard driven by a tiny surface-mounted RP2040-Core-A development board, was designed and shared by darkhandz (aka Due_Resident6149).

After building a Redox and a Sofle in the past, I decided to use Ergogen for this project to make a simple, unibody wired keyboard. Kept it clean—no LEDs or screens – Due_resident6149.

The large empty space in the middle was originally intended for a display, but the author decided there wasn't anything useful to display. :)

Specs

  • 58 keys (6x4+5 unibody split)
  • MX switches, soldered
  • RP2040-Core-A development board
  • plateless build
  • CNC base (4 mm machined 6061 aluminum)
  • QMK/Vial

Instead of FR4 or 3D printing, the author chose a 4 mm CNC-machined 6061 aluminum base as the bottom plate.

The small RP2040 development module is mounted on the back side of the PCB, so it keeps the top of the keyboard very clean.
