The Harite is a series of open-source directional keyboards à la Svalboard or Charachorder, designed by Dane Lipscombe (aka dlip/fata1err0r81). V1 used 5-way switches, V2 already had a modular thumb cluster, and the current V3 release has 12 joysticks with with 48 mouse switches beneath the surface.
Having the thumb cluster at 90 degrees is partly to make it better to 3d print, but I don't find it uncomfortable at all, and since the up direction is my most common switch, having the slight upward tilt of the thumb makes it easier to press – Dane.
This board uses 3D-printed joysticks/levers sitting on ball bearings to press the four mouse switches beneath them.
