The Klorball35, created by Dan Bowles (aka longwave), is a 35-key, column-staggered, low-profile split keyboard with an integrated trackball.

This project started after seeing what was possible in Ergogen from the Kivipallur keyboard. I built a KLOR and loved it, then I bought a Keyball39 kit and loved that. The only issue with the Keyball39 was that it was not splayed and I wanted to give Choc switches a try again – Dan Bowles.

This board is diodeless and uses Helios MCUs.

Specs

  • 35 keys (5x3+3/2 split)
  • Choc V1 switches, 18x17 mm spacing, hotswap/soldered
  • 0xCB Helios (RP2040) controller
  • PMW3360 optical trackball (Kivipallur breakout)
  • TRRS connection
  • QMK/ZMK firmware
