Teased in KBD#195, WoodenCod's (aka yyevax) wireless split Xavient is now open source. Taking inspiration from the Corne-ish Zen, the goal of this project was to make a thin keyboard without sacrificing repairability or upgradability.

The main feature here really is despite the thinness of the keyboard (around 8-9 mm thick) that the screen and microcontroller are all easily replaceable. This way it is easier to repair your board without unsoldering and resoldering components – WoodenCod.

Features

  • 36 or 42 keys (5x3+3 or 6x3+3) via snap-off outer columns
  • hot-swappable Gateron low-pro switches or soldered Choc/MX (millmax).
  • Nice!Nano v2 or clone (NRF52840 ProMicro)
  • Nice!View displays
  • 3D-printed case
  • ZMK firmware
