Musab Hassan aka Ok_Tailor shared this nice 65% ortho split, the Aurora. The wireless keyboard halves are asymmetrical, with the right side being larger.

Got sick of my Anne pro 2 so decided to try my luck with designing and building my own fully custom keyboard. Took me a long time but ended up building the keyboard I always dreamed of. My build has the ptfans BOW keycap set and Gateron Smoothies – Ok_Tailor.

The PCBs have an exposed part, the microcontroller and nice!view screens are exposed and are covered by an acrylic piece.

Features

  • 70 keys, 65% ortholinear layout
  • MX, hotswap
  • wireless via nice!nano (Bluetooth and dongle switching)
  • OLED screen (nice!view)
  • Volume knob
  • Per-key RGB
  • ZMK firmware
  • 3D-printed case

(Most of the parts came from Typeractive, feel free to use the KBDNEWS coupon code for 5% off.)

The case files also include a dongle case. This dongle is a third nice!nano that functions as a keyboard dongle when connected to a computer. The left keyboard side features a slot for this piece. If 3-pin magnetic pogo connector is added to the pogo connector holes within both the dongle case and the left side keyboard slot, the dongle can then magnetically attach and automatically switch to Bluetooth by using the left-side battery when it slots in.
